Live Review: Brisbane, get ready for your new club night with Sullivan's pumping guest mix

Slowly but surely, Brisbane is emerging as an interesting, cultured place. Not really known for it's lively and diverse nightlife scenes like Melbourne and Sydney, the work really is cut out for the few Brisbanites that actually give a shit about providing a different, alternative and safe space for those that want to boogie without bro-culture, bad music and smelly clubs.

Enter Sullivan, a renowned party starter who is also one third of i heart hiroshima. Known for their killer DJ sets and ability to get a crowd moving, Sullivan is now injecting some of the lessons they learnt whilst abroad in Berlin, and bringing them right back into events for Brisbane.

Now in its second instalment, one such event is a new clubnight called 2sxc4u. Held at the much-loved Black Bear Lodge, Sullivan has tapped an all-star crew to get sweaty and let loose to this Friday night, September 30th.

"2sxc4u are interested in reflecting societies obsession with the internet and social media, directly incorporating this into our parties through our approach to visuals, decoration and most importantly the music. Our next party provides an exciting and fresh lineup of local and international artists intertwining bouncy hip hop, dancehall, bass and future danceable rhythms, incorporating interactive and transformative experiences via multi layered live streams and apps to hack the mainframe."

In other words, 2sxc4u is the next best thing to happen to Brisbane. Teaming up with Sailor Jerry to make sure the bottles are flowing, the night will feature Black Cracker (NYC), MaxxY Pin, Sullivan of course, and Baby Mama, punters can think hip-hop, dancehall, good times and good vibes. Oh, and a pro SXC TIP: start stretching them hamstrings in prep to ride the information superhighway all the way to .... intimate group bliss.
