Live Review: SAMPOLOGY teams up with rising star Tiana Khasi for 'Thicker Than Water'

23 August 2016 | 10:00 am | Emma Jones

SAMPOLOGY's latest sounds titled 'Thicker Than Water' are as satisfying and magical as his announcement of a forthcoming EP release.

It's not often you hear a song that is immediately satisfying, but Brisbane's SAMPOLOGY has hit the nail on the head with his latest single, 'Thicker Than Water'.

A strong supporter and follower of up and coming talent, Sampology is all about collaborating with other talented fellow musicians. His new single comes with the announcement of a new EP on the way, and the producer is set to once again show off native and organic talent in all its glory with Natural Selections. Containing collaborative work with a number of local electro-soul Brisbane artists, Sampology's collective series will also reveal work produced with his own family.

Featuring upcoming vocalist Tiana Khasi's serene vocals (you may recognise her from her work with The Kite String TangleGolden Vessel, her own solo work or her band Astro Travellers), 'Thicker Than Water' introduces us to an interesting assembly of electronic/jazz/soul soundscape vibes. The polyrhythmic piece takes the listener into a mystical place full of wonder and nature. Have a listen, feel the moment.

Sampology has partnered up with record label, Soul Has No Tempo who will be dropping Natural Selections on September 23rd online, and on 12'' vinyl featuring artworks from his talented mother, Sue Poggioli. This is shaping up to be one release we really can't wait for.
