Live Review: Pinch takes on Roots Manuva's 'Don't Breathe Out'

In an interesting take on the original, renowned producer Pinch has stepped up for remix duties on Roots Manuva's 'Don't Breathe Out', taken from the latter's latest work Bleeds. 

The track is very minimal, as Pinch provides a deep take on the original. Working with ambient sounds and atmospherics, the verses cut through the glowing bed of sound Pinch works with, as the hook sublimely glides in and out. It's enough to give you goosebumps at times. Effortlessly shifting from gentle, calming sounds to almost rave-like thumping, Pinch takes expert control of this rework, providing Roots Manuva with a soundscape he may not have imagined himself to be in - but one we hope to hear a lot more of.

Flexing his remix abilities, Pinch really excels on this track, taken from the deluxe edition of Roots Manuva's Bleeds. Labelhead of his own Tectonic, Pinch really shows what he's capable of here with this bassy, minimalistic rework, and it has us really keen to hear more from him hopefully in the very near future.
