Danny Brown has come out with guns blazing ahead of the release of his third studio album, Atrocity Exhibition.

Danny Brown has come out with guns blazing ahead of the release of his third studio album, Atrocity Exhibition, sharing the new single 'Pneumonia' as a warning shot.

Danny Brown is known to be a bit of an odd rapper, having a long career of mixtapes that went mostly unnoticed, it wasn't until his 2011 mixtape XXX did he finally start making waves in the hip-hop scene. Building on his unique style of high pitched vocals and party-centric verses that have deeper and more emotive lyrics hidden inside some of the minor tracks throughout his breakout release, 2013's Old. Now, it seems he's set to get even more heavy with Atrocity Exhibtion.

Sounding almost menacing, his vocals on 'Pneumonia' sound off the wall crazy, elevating it into something completely different to other rappers. Danny Brown brings an intensity to his vocal delivery that few rappers can match. Featuring ScHoolboy Q adding in some "YAWK" adlibs, the track certainly marks his return to the game.

Featuring some left-field production for Danny Brown, it starts off with bell sounds driving the beat which drops in and out, keeping the intensity of the track dynamic as it ebbs and flows. Danny Brown exercises a certain level of finesse in 'Pneumonia' that might not be expected of him, but is a welcome addition to his constantly evolving back catalogue.

It will be very interesting to see where Danny Brown heads to next. Atrocity Exhibition is set to drop on September 30.
