MARCUS spits some solid bars on 'Toast', the lyrical content is full of clever punchlines with a delivery that manages to stay smooth throughout.

Melbourne rapper, MARCUS comes out with his new braggadocio rap track 'Toast'.

Marcus spits some solid bars on 'Toast', the lyrical content is full of clever punchlines with a delivery that manages to stay smooth throughout. The production on this track complements the feel of Marcus' raps by being equally smooth with these boom bap drums, smooth keys and pops of champagne.

'Toast' sounds like it's an album closer, where the artist celebrates his accomplishments by spitting some great bars on a smooth boom bap beat.

I love how/when Australian rappers break the mold of the typical "skip-hop" and put out something great. Marcus definitely has something to celebrate about with this track out.

Here is a video that has Marcus talk about not only his new track 'Toast', but also about topics like the future of Australian rap:

Marcus’ sophomore mixtape featuring more acclaimed collaborations and a tour with his new live band is to be expected later on in 2016.
