Take a look into the eclecticism of Asia’s club scene with this Rainbow Chan mix
RAINBOW CHAN is one of the most engaging pop artists in Australia as of right now. With a number of intricate and delightful singles under her belt, and a new album on the way – we thought it’s the best time to have her on our FBi Click show for a Guest Mix.
Although her originals operate in the pop sphere, her electronic tendencies are undeniable, and it’s a scene that Bow Chan has heavily invested herself in. Under her club moniker, Chunyin, she has created beautiful tech-inspired tracks – and takes stock of the sounds the world over, especially the inspiring works of artists turning Asia into a modern day club paradise.
We’ve spoken intently of Bow‘s creative influence before; “Inventing a vigorous backdrop of tropical sounds and adopted wildlife interpretations to lacquer the textural need, this artificial skin worsens with wear, as the hopeful gain of a rose-tinted ideal relationship only amounts into a bout of loneliness.”
We think these kinds of themes come out in all of Chan‘s works, inclusive of her guest mix. And although there are electronic creations featured from clubs the world over, there is a strong representation of Asia’s vibrant electronic scene. With some of the most eclectic artists selected, there’s a plethora of textured and vibrant sounds to soundtrack your afternoon’s below:
- Corin – CDA
- Conrank & Zean – 敬酒 (Jìngjiǔ)
- Howie Lee – Morning Drumwork
