Rampue’s Top Five emerging Berlin artists
Ahead of the launch of Stiff Little Spinners Vol. 7, we asked Berlin based producer hero RAMPUE to give us a break down of the best new music Berlin has to offer.
During the past years, he’s played around the globe and managed to capture the hearts of thousands of friends and fans in all corners of the world. Fusion Festival, Burning Man, Beirut, Istanbul, Kiev – Rampue doesn’t move from club to club, rather continent to continent.
“To be honest, I think I’m more a producer than a dj. I’m not constantly searching everyday for these fresh unknown secret underground pearls. Anyway, I tried my best to choose some tracks from Berlin based producers who touch my heart and do something amazing or outstanding” – Rampue.
“This guy is amazing. Krink is the first person I call when I have some technic questions and he is also one of my best friends and an amazing producer. I love his extraordinary, dark and experimental productions. This is dirty slow techno, packed with lots of energy.”
“I first encountered Monolink‘s dreamy pop house when we played together at Breminale Festival Germany last year. This guy is a musical genius and an amazing live act.”
“Everything Powel touches is pure gold for me. Wonderful storytelling as a dj and his productions are all pure emotion. Full energy with finesse instead of stereotype club music.”
MARTHA VAN STRAATEN and JASCHA HAGEN
“I like to listen and dance to ‘normal’ club music, but I love it even more when djs/live acts challenge me with something completely different. Martha Van Straaten and Jascha Hagen inspired me a lot the last months. I love this crazy, very slow and weird stuff from their sets and productions. This remix from Nina Simone is sexy and groovy like hell.”
“Another friend of mine and an amazing producer. I love to watch the crowd at his live shows. Everybody is dancing with closed eyes and a big smile as soon he starts. His music is like a hug from your best friend.”
