Live Review: Kllo get next level on 'Bolide' with a sleek video

17 May 2016 | 8:18 pm | Madeline Kilby

After the crazy success of KLLO's 'Bolide', they have put together one sweet video to make it even better than you thought possible.

KLLO (formally Klo) dropped the stellar track ‘Bolide’, which cemented their place as ones to watch at Splendour in the Grass 2016. After it’s crazy success they have put together one sweet video to make it even better than you thought possible.

Teaming up with Hamish Mitchell and David Mckinnar to catapult ‘Bolide’ to the visual level, they have created something that plays on both the smoky vocals, and the colourful production of the track.

The video portrays what you will initially think is one of two things: either an insanely awesome dance troop ready to own the floor, or a cult like gang ready to stab you. It’s neither of those things, but what it is a black and white world, dominated by the confusion you feel when a strobe light takes over your vision.

Half way through it suddenly drops into this world where bold monochromatic colours mesh into each other, and the dark shadows play out surrounded by a world of colour. It creates juxtaposition between so many things in life, you could honestly use it as a metaphor for just about anything if you can see outside the shades of grey.
