Live Review: Thandi Phoenix's 'Tell Me Where The Lovers Have Gone' is straight fire

If you're looking for an electro-pop track, with R&B vibes, that is a mix of the sweet melodies of the early 2000's and ultra-modern dark electronica then we've found the track for you. THANDI PHOENIX's first 2016 release 'Tell Me Where The Lovers Have Gone' is straight fire and we can't recommend it enough.

With a set at Splendour in the Grass, another at Bluesfest, and collaborations with Ta-Ku and B-Wise, it's no surprise that Thandi Phoenix was only just getting started in 2015 and is back again.

2016 sees her bringing us a brooding track 'Tell Me Where The Lovers Have Gone' which tells the story of someone who only wants what they can't have and let me tell you, despite dark, almost eerie vibes, it's undeniably catchy. Thandi's vocals are warm and smooth, a sharp contrast to the cool tone of the piano and a perfect match to the slow, almost bluesy rhythm of the song. All this is held together with deep, RnB beats and soft electronic to create a track that is truly worthy of the repeat button.
