Live Review: RKDA release emotional EP, CS

Back in March we heard a little taste tester called 'Quartz' from Melbourne electronic trio RKDA. Now they're back to give us a full EP titled CS, out via brand spanking new label Riot Expert Records.

The four track EP draws on each of the members personal experiences, with the EP being made in various countries over time. I can't hear the overall flow of the EP, however each track is spectacular in their own right, showing the trio's production versatility.

A favourite on this end would be the last track 'Coffee', which shows elements of a heavier bass line, some more experimental sounds, and just an overall grungier sound. Listening to this EP gave me a rollercoaster of emotions, which is something I feel is incredibly important when listening to music. The trio executed expressing feeling through song really well, and the vocal tones in this EP are beautiful.

RKDA will be playing their first live show for the year, launching CS and headlining the Riot Expert Records label launch at Shebeen in Melbourne on May 28th.
