LOVELY HEAD and PENDANT are offering up Pink EP. It’s part colourful, part dark, and a lot of talent.

Two Sydney based musicians have created themselves new musical egos, and teamed up to produce something rather wonderful. LOVELY HEAD and PENDANT are offering up Pink EP. It’s part colourful, part dark, and a lot of talent.

Lovely Head is Vivian Huynh, who recently wrote a very honest but meaningful account of cultural assimilation for herself as a young Vietnamese girl. Having a read of it will give you insight to her musical inspirations and backgrounds, and open your eyes even further to her music. Pendant is alternatively known as Hugh Luscombe, formally known as Nakagin. He’s obviously had a few transformations and until now has been a relatively quiet achiever.

This four track EP shows the vocal skill of Lovely Head. Her voice is eclectic. You could pop it in an R’nB track, or something darker but it sits in the mix of these tracks magically. She has a talent to cover an enviable range, and when combined with the production skills and minimal beat sounds of Pendant creates a magical harmony. The beats are unique, and the sound is minimalistic, nothing is too complex so you can appreciate each and every sound.

The theme of Pink? Misguided devotion and doomed love. Broody, but also tantalizing, as is the $4 price tag on this EP. Jump on it now.
