CHRISTOPHER PORT is a new Melbourne based producer who has spent a lot of time fine tuning his musical styling since he started touring with the Pieater family (Big Scary, Airing, #1 Dads).

He shows it with the single 'Bump' which is coming out of his debut release, Vetement, coming July 15th, which will feature five tracks of UK garage.

'Bump' is a five minute track with enough cowbell to satisfy Christopher Walken. The percussion on this track is interesting, as everything fires off in erratic patterns with a lot of repeating drum hits, the main lead being a cowbell that's repeating really fast while being pitched up and down so it acts like a synth.

When the synth does come in it's very disoriented and weirdly pitched, the chopped up vocal samples on this track are similar to the drums as they sputter phrases in at odd timings.

This entire track is weird, which is good because it means that Christopher Port's EP, it looks like it'll be something completely original to listen to. 'Bump' is gripping in a way that only few tracks can be because the entire time you listen to it it's hard to predict what's going to happen next.
