You may have heard that we're turning ten, and alongside our Tenth Birthday event we've done a complete re-brand and re-launch of the Purple Sneakers blog.

This only marks the beginning of a series of events and activities to celebrate our ten-year anniversary, and we're finally here to kick off the next phase. Welcome to the 'Ten Years Of Taste' Mix Series.

2007 was the year that Digitalism smashed into the world with that jam, 'Pogo', the year when Apple announced the iPhone; the year the reign of Ed Banger, DFA Records and Modular started to take effect the year the final Harry Potter novel was released; and the year a debut single from an unknown Aussie duo, PNAU, would literally be heard on every dancefloor across the nation.

Purple Sneakers was getting closer to the end of its first sweaty year at The Abercrombie Hotel during this time, so we're extremely excited to be sharing just a few songs that set us off as a club. These are the tracks that defined the year in music - where electro and indie met; and fell in love.
