NGAIIRE has given us a closer insight into the album we've all been eagerly waiting for, with the release of the music video to her single, 'Diggin'.

With the announcement of her second forthcoming album, BlastomaNGAIIRE has given us a closer insight into the album we've all been eagerly waiting for, with the release of the music video to her single, 'Diggin'.

Currently on tour for Groovin the Moo and set to play at Splendour in the Grass, the Papa New Guinea born artist has had quite a ride the last couple of years. Now based in Sydney, this girl has had her fair share of collaborations and experiences. Touring as a back up singer for Blue King BrownPaul Mac and Chet Faker, as well as sharing the stage at the Glastonbury and shows with Alicia Keys and John Legend have only been the tip of it.

Growing up surrounded by ballet and opera, you can tell Ngaiire has been strongly influenced in her music and performance, especially through the video of her single, 'Diggin' as it explores the movement of contemporary dance. It's her spine tingling vocals and creative juices that have lead her to where she is, so take a listen and watch this simple yet artistically brilliant piece of music.

The video, full of eery visuals and ominous harmonies draws the listener in with Ngaiires' eccentric taste. The strong emphasis on black seems to present many connotations for the darkness she endured as a child, quite the oxymoron for the gold shimmering of girls and confident vocals of Ngaiire. The piece gives quite the lead up into her up and coming album...

Blastoma which is set to release on June 10 contains a track list of 9 songs, including her killer single 'Once' which has already made its way through the charts, hitting #73 on Triple J's Hottest 100. The album co produced with Paul Mac and Jack Grace is one close to home for Ngaiire, with the title itself 'Blastoma' (referring to a form of cancer) relating to her childhood as she fought with the disease herself.

As the suspense builds for the release of her latest album, have a throwback and re-listen her debut album Lamentations when you have the time.
