Live Review: Third Floor's 'I See You' holds no mercy

Sydney-based producer Third Floor has teamed up with J Motor Film for his four-part audio-visual Dream State EP.

Third Floor

Aaron Bannie, aka Sydney-based producer, THIRD FLOOR, is releasing his Dream State concept EP in a multi-medium format. Rather than matching each single with its own individual story, all four tracks have been released in just as many episodes, for they soundtrack a short film by J Motor Film. To continue from the first viewing of this audio-visual series, Third Floor has revealed the second piece, 'I See You'.

A progressive step-up from the isolation of the first single, 'Thinking Of You', the protagonist, Charley Rose, returns in a much more social setting. Where we've already gained an assumption of her potential chemical imbalance of the brain, this little vixen shows no mercy in the infatuation she is ridden with.

Earnest in her desperation, the soundtrack to this ruthless performance is still very much inherent of the EP title, though its repetitive vocals over an unscathed amalgamation of fleeting synths confirm the dominance and barbaric control that our persona exhibits.

Totally taken by the weight of her heart, we're intrigued to see what is to come of the story of Charley Rose, led audibly by Third Floor and visually by J Motor Film.

As we wait for part three, head over to Third Floor's Soundcloud, for the artist has listed the two first singles of his Dream State EP as free digital downloads.
