Live Review: SKIES' 'Speed Boy' is the ultimate pick up

SKIES are back again with their newest single 'Speed Boy' and following in the footsteps of their first two singles, it's a quick-paced (speedy if you will) dance track that is completely Saturday night ready.

Although their other releases 'Call For My Heart' and 'Too Young' were both self-produced the trio have decided to take on board a producer for 'Speed Boy' but they certainly didn't settle for just anyone. Steven Schram has worked with the likes of San Cisco, The Cat Empire and Paul Kelly and with names like that under his belt it's obvious why SKIES chose to work with him.

If 'Speed Boy' is the measure of whether it was a good choice or not, we have to say that it was a very good choice indeed.

With an undeniable beat that will make you want to get up and start dancing (guilty) and lyrics that ooze confidence, 'Speed Boy' is the ultimate pick up line in a song. Everything about the song is full of restless energy, from a punchy beat to soaring vocals; it perfectly captures a Saturday night romance taking place in the middle of a dance floor.

After a busy 2015 supporting a plethora of big names including SAFIA and TKAY Maidza and a start like 'Speed Boy' to their 2016; we have no doubt there are big things in store for SKIES in 2016.
