With an 80's aesthetic that can be heard as well as it can be seen, FROYO are a Sydney trio tied together by their shared appreciation of the fluro and synth-pop of a rather memorable decade and they're back again with their newest track 'Pride.'

A favorite of Triple J Unearthed, their previous tunes 'Dream Fall' and 'Out There' were both wildly popular on the site, which in turn caught the interest of the rest of the music industry, musicians, fans and media alike.

Since their humble beginnings as bedroom producers they have come a long way and 'Pride' is their ninth track (not including one very good Empire Of The Sun cover.) 'Pride' clearly takes inspiration from the era Froyo so idolise, with a beat reminiscent of the very best 80's tracks and bright, vibrant synths. There is, however, something very modern about the track, the layered, spacious vocals at once capturing that vintage sound and creating something altogether different. Almost every sound in the song replicates this effect as they blends the old and the new seamlessly.

With Triple J predicting they just might be the next 'undiscovered pop genius' and a tune that manages to make that cheesy 80's sound cool again, we'll be keeping an ear out for more from Froyo (and you should be too.)
