MEREDITH is back again with a somber track that describes both the anguish of watching a friend suffering through a toxic relationship and the pain of suffering through the bad relationship yourself.

It's a theme that will resonate with a lot of us. Most of us have held tight to a relationship, whether romantic or otherwise, that was just plain shit. Similarly most of us have watched someone we love refuse to let go of a terrible relationship and wanted to shake them out of their stupidity. (See my best friend's ex-boyfriend's broken nose for reference.) Meredith's soulful voice and brooding melodies perfectly capture the anguish that comes along with both situations, in a track you'll have on repeat for hours at a time.

In the past we've seen a lot lighter music from , although she has covered some dark themes in her lyrics the musical accompaniment has always been strongly folk influenced with an electronic twist and something about that kind of music always seems very relaxed.

With her new track, 'How Could You Believe That' however, Meredith is letting some of the darker elements of the pop and electronica she always drew influence from bleed into her music. It's something of a change in her sound that we have seen evolve since the release of 'Levels' and we're very excited about it.
