Live Review: Kaytranada moves one step closer to legendary status with 'Bus Ride'

KAYTRANADA 'Bus Ride' featuring drummer/producer Karriem Riggins and Toronto native vocalist  River Tiber is some of the smoothest instrumental hip hop to come out this year.

His debut album, 99%, slated for release on May 6th, Kaytranada comes out swinging working with this single that features some heavy hitting talent when it comes down to making instrumental hip hop.

The track itself is reminiscent of legendary producers J Dilla, Madlib or Nujabes in the way how the beat is so smooth with all the melodies, bass and brilliantly done drums just flowing so nicely that time just flies by when you are listening to it. The track time is two minutes so right now it's short and sweet but i can see someone making a homework edit that loops it so it can run for two hours, it's great music to have playing in the background and when it stops it makes the silence seem too boring and bare.

'Bus Ride' is soulful and smooth and it's hopefully just a taste on what Kaytranada has in store for everyone on 99%, which drops on May 6th on XL Recordings.
