Live Review: Annie Bass hits the ground running with debut; 'While I'm Waiting'

New artists alert! Last night ANNIE BASS debuted their first single 'While I'm Waiting' on Triple J and it's the emotional tale of unrequited love that will have you crying on your bathroom floor.

Although 'new artist' might suggest that Annie Bass is new to the scene, you'd be wrong to make that assumption. While 'While I'm Waiting' is Annie Bass's first single, it is not the first track leader, Annabel Weston, has lent her vocals to. She features on OISIMA's track 'Everything About Her' and the two seem to have really connected during the process as they've worked together again for 'While I'm Waiting.'

This time, however, Oisima takes on the role of producer and his isn't the only familiar name you'll see in the credits for the track. The track was mastered by the renowned Andrei Eremin whatever who has worked with artists such as Chet Faker. 

'While I'm Waiting' is a surreal track only kept grounded by deep beats that are felt more than heard. At the forefront, demanding the attention of the listener are instead, sit ethereal vocals that are vibrant without ever being allowed to overpower the resonant foundation of synth driven electronica.

'While I'm Waiting' is taken from Annie Bass's upcoming EP which is due to drop later this year.
