Live Review: Genres collide on the Oliver Heldens & Throttle colab, 'Waiting'

17 January 2016 | 4:51 pm | Emma Jones

Both rising stars in their own rights, Oliver Heldens and Throttle combine dirty disco and future house with this new collaborative track, 'Waiting'.

Sometimes combining worlds of electronic dance music can be dangerous business, but every now and then it's pulled off so expertly it makes all the other failed attempts kind of worth it. The latest collaborative track between OLIVER HELDENS and THROTTLE is one such track.

Combining future house with downright dirty disco, Heldens and Throttle hit it hard from the first second here. With a hook that will embed itself in your brain for days to come, 'Waiting' is summer in a song. Taking lead from the likes of A-TRAK with their piano-led house, the duo keep it fun and light with this one.

'Waiting' comes after Throttle's Beatport #1 with his track, 'September, whilst Heldens boasts more than enough achievements himself. Both accomplished producers in their own rights, it makes sense this song is as great as it is. Expect to hear it on many-a dancefloor over the summer!
