The latest dose comes from JCAL. Just six months into his career, this guy has dropped a tune with Most Art called ‘Thieves’.

It’s been said time and time again, its Perth or bust in the world of electro music in Australia at the moment. The latest dose comes from JCAL. Just six months into his career, and still studying at Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (that’s WAPA guys, that prestigious as f*ck place for talented people) this guy has dropped a tune with Most Art called ‘Thieves’.

Jack Calneggia (JCAL) has teamed up with fellow Perth native Most Art, who is better known for his part in blues/rock group Vorsen. JCAL is no stranger to musical collaborating, being apart of 4AM Collective, often teaming up with various members to create electronic music that seems to cover just about every sub-genre.

‘Thieves’ is one of those tracks that is so easy to listen to you don’t consider how intricate the process of creating it must have been. It has a sort of late night, jazzy, long warm summer night vibe. It incorporates that jazz style keyboard, with that warm guitar, some pretty dreamy R&B styled vocals and percussion to create something you can groove to, as well chill to.

It’s a song for making love not war, although the lyrics perhaps tell a darker love story.
