Live Review: Sensual feelings flow throughout HONNE's '3am'

20 January 2016 | 1:59 pm | Emma Jones

Sometimes hype is a fickle thing, but with HONNE it is so well deserved and their latest single, '3am', once again proves this for the duo.

The hype around HONNE precedes them, but when they keep pumping out tracks like this it's pretty understandable.

Tipped as an act worth keeping an eye on in this new year, the duo have done it once again with '3am'; a sleek funk-pop number that features some slick production and some suggestive lyrics.

They were already more than capable of creating baby-making music, but this latest could actually quite literally be so. With lyrics like "We could be getting frisky, girl/ 'Til three o'clock in the morning" paired with a seductive bassline and some synth and drum work that would be quite at home on a cruise ship or a bluelight disco, it's a powerful and intoxicating combination.

Slightly less upbeat than their usual efforts, it's an interesting move from the duo have had their praises sung across the blogosphere for more than a few months. They're currently readying a new EP titled Gone Are The Days (Shimokita Import), which comes out at the end of this week.

Sometimes hype can be a fickle thing, but with HONNE it really is so well-deserved. Even bigger things are still coming for these two!
