Artists to Watch in 2016: Swick
Signed to NLV RECORDS, already releasing music via FOOL’S GOLD, regular NINA LAS VEGAS collaborator, capable of bringing a room to fever pitch with his bouncing, bassy tracks; the list goes on for why SWICK deserves your attention in 2016.
“Go big or go home” is one way to describe Swick. Whether it be solo like on his massive single ‘Crystal Palace’, collaborating with others like LEWIS CANCUT on the monster that is ‘Rubber’, or even remixing others like his remix with Nina Las Vegas on ANNA LUNOE‘s ‘Say It Again’- not to mention the three track EP Swick and Nina put out this year as well, Swick has continually demonstrated just how much he has going on over these past 12 months.
With a seemingly prolific output of new tracks over the past few months, it looks like Swick has laid down the groundwork really make 2016 his. An impressive playcount on each and every one of his tracks on SoundCloud, Swick wrapped up the year, which saw him play at Splendour In The Grass, with ‘R6 Wheel (Dub)’, which was featured on a sample pack from the newly established NLV Records. Each signee brought their A-game to the sampler, but there is something about Swick‘s that has our interest well and truly piqued.
Set to dominate 2016, the NLV Records crew are certainly gearing up for something big next year, but judging from his track record this year, it’s Swick that has us most excited. Setting the wheels well and truly in motion, he’s worked hard to make a name for himself, and we can’t help but predict that 2016 is the year he starts capitalising on his newfound and well-deserved reputation. We’re calling it now, 2016 will be the Year of Swick!
