Live Review: UV Boi ft. EASTGHOST 'If She, If He'
Signalling a change in direction, Brisbane producer UV Boi has released a surprising but exciting new single with Portland's EASTGHOST on vocal duties.
Continuing his incredibly impressive run, Brisbane beatmaker UV BOI has teamed up with Portland's EASTGHOST for a brand new track that once again shows off the producer and all he has going for him.
Having supported the likes of Flosstradamus, Sophie, Kaytranada and more as well as wowing crowds at OutsideIn and Splendour In The Grass earlier this year, we get the feeling UV Boi is only just getting started.
Stripping it back a bit, this is actually one of his best tracks. Titled 'If She, If He', it's a softer approach from the producer, but an enjoyable change of style nevertheless.

Gentle percussion, mellow vocals and just enough synth to fit in nicely, 'If She, If He' is a big step up for UV Boi in terms of producing - refined, controlled and honed in, it shows off a certain versatility that perhaps hasn't been seen before.
Following on from his previous single 'LUV', the change in UV Boi's direction may be a surprising one, but it's also exciting to watch unfold.
Taking a step away from the internet bangers he first made a name for himself with, he seems almost hellbent on showing there is a lot more to him than an iPhone message tone and bed creak samples. Instead, his melodic and precise production heard both here and in 'LUV' has us extremely excited about what he's still got to come.
Along with the release of 'If She, If He', UV Boi has also announced his debut EP is finally on the way. Titled L-UV, it will be released in early 2016 via new label Valve Sounds.
If all of this is anything to go by, we can expect pretty big things from this guy!
