Live Review: Strict Face 'Rouge Park'

20 November 2015 | 1:51 pm | Emma Jones

In the fifth and final instalment of the NLV Records sampler, Strict Face has unleashed a new track titled 'Rogue Park' in all it's bouncy, bassy glory.

The fifth and final instalment of NINA LAS VEGAS' sampler for her new label NLV Records has finally been released, and it certainly does not disappoint.

The final track to come out and give us an idea of what the label will be working with comes from STRICT FACE. No stranger to releasing some seriously good music, Strict Face once again unleashes his unique spin on grimy, bassy beats with 'Rouge Park'.

Following on from tracks by SwickLewis CancytAir Max '97 and Nina Las Vegas herself, Strict Face's 'Rouge Park' is yet another bright and exciting taste of what we can expect to come from the NLV Records.

Each exhilarating, unique and boundary pushing producers in their own right, the NLV Records' roster have now all shown what they're made of in this sampler, and it really is one incredibly impressive release after another.

Citing "cherry blossoms and that feeling you get when you step out and spring finally comes along after winter" as the inspiration behind 'Rouge Park', Strict Face keeps it light and bouncy with this track.

Shifting beats, leftfield synth sounds and a certain element of emotion that is sometimes missing in trap/grime instrumentals, 'Rouge Park' is a light and fun hypercoloured jam with a lot packed into a short amount of time.

There isn't any official word of any forthcoming releases from the NLV Records crew, but if this sampler tells us only one thing it's that they are sitting on something really, really big. Only time will tell, but thankfully we now have five tracks to help the wait!

You can catch Strict Face live in action at Paradise Music Festival next week!
