Live Review: Porsches 'Karate' (Indian Summer Remix)

4 November 2015 | 4:19 pm | Caitlin Medcalf

Indian Summer have just given their own spin to Porsches' single 'Karate', and I'd like to think of this one as more of an Indian Summer 2.0 track.

It's been a while in the making, but we're excited to hear that they've taken their time on this one. INDIAN SUMMER are back with a completely new take on their sound, and you can tell straight away, it's going to be big from here.

They've just given their own spin to Porsches' single 'Karate', and I'd like to think of this one as more of an Indian Summer 2.0 track. The sound is so collected, well paced and very rhythmic.

Previously, the boys have been well known for their huge dancefloor bangers that set clubs into overdrive. Not only this, but they have a knack for creating tracks that double as something you can listen to in a club or jam along to in the car, but in all instances, the bass is big and the hook is ridiculously catchy.

This new take on 'Karate' encompasses all of this, but with a huge emphasis on the hook. Creating a simplistic "whomp" above a glitchy percussive line, this one goes absolutely above and beyond from the get go.

The percussion is prominent, the synths disguise themselves well in the many pockets of this one, and I love that overall, you can really tell that this is an Indian Summer track.

So stoked to hear that Gabe and Chevy are back. If this is any indication of where the duo are heading, it's definitely going to be a wild ride up from here.
