WIN: Astral People’s 4th Birthday Double Pass
Four years ago, three dudes brought with them a vision and great ideas to a meeting held in Dimitri’s Pizza joint on Crown Street, that was to be applied to Sydney’s party scene. Coming out with a tour and management focus, ASTRAL PEOPLE was born; ready to enhance the vibrancy of this overpopulated city and beyond.
Proving that hardwork definitely does pay off, they placed their ideas into fruition, broadening the horizon of our Australian music scene by focusing on those forward-thinking characters who are constantly breaking down genre barriers and working with profound innovation to create game-changing, exciting music. With the help of Astral People, these artists have been able to meet the limelight and work under the collective swimmingly. Some of these distinctive Astral People family members include Basenji, Collarbones, Cosmo’s Midnight, Jonti, Mike Who, Polographia and Roland Tings.
Since the evolution of Astral People, Australia has been gifted many a fun night out, including event series Astral Nites and Astral & Friends, as well as running charity events for Beyond Blue, collaborating with Future Classic, VIVID and Niche Productions to not only grant their artists the live performance opportunity, but to also bring out international heavyweights Chrome Sparks, XXYYXX, Lapalux, JMSN and Baths, to name a few.
A super exciting and prestigious entity, we definitely owe Astral People a massive cuddle to thank them for all of their hard work and endeavours, so why not do so at their birthday party this weekend?
To be held in a secret carpark, the celebration will host sets from Basenji, Ben Fester, Preacha, Cassius Select, Alba, Collarbones, GL and a stack more, including special unannounced guests! Kicking off at 1pm this Sunday, 6th September, it would be wise to grab a ticket before they all run out.
WIN WIN WIN
If your bank account is anything like my own, you’re definitely going to need some help getting to the party this Sunday arvo. To score a double pass, simply tell us what secret, unconventional location you would use to hold a massive party. Including your full name, send your response to [email protected]. Please bear in mind that this is strictly an over 18s event. Good luck!
