We Take You Through The 2016 FOMO Festival Lineup

17 September 2015 | 12:55 pm | Tom Hutchins

Although standing for Fear Of Missing Out, a new one-dayer is coming to the good city of Bris-vegas so that residents don't have to have FOMO at all!

Brisbane, we're the first to admit you get it rough when it comes to festivals and sideshows. Yes, you get Bigsound, but is that enough to make up for the fact that you miss sideshows for both Splendour and Falls even though the festivals aren't in your state? No, hell not it's not! We demand answers! That's where FOMO Festival comes in.

Although standing for Fear Of Missing Out, a new one-dayer is coming to the good city of Bris-vegas so that residents don't have to have FOMO at all! What a beautiful irony that is.

Presented by tour agency legends BBE, and Brisbane's own OCD, FOMO is a brand new, carefully curated boutique festival experience exclusive to Queensland's Capital City. Set to take place amongst the iconic natural amphitheatre of Riverstage on January 9th next year, this inaugural, intimate and affordable event will make sure you get the best possible start to 2016 - and have something to talk about with the rest of your East Coast friends.

The FOMO team have promised a bill "filled with world-class international talent, and a line-up of locals who we love. From the doors opening at midday to a banging closing set finishing at 10pm, you and your mates won’t miss out on a single act. ONE STAGE. NO CLASHES. PARTY TOGETHER.    #FIGHTTHEFEAR"

So let's see how it handles then, let's take you through the lineup.

RL GRIME - I don't know about you, but I remember this guy before he was smashing Stereosonic; original WeDidIt Crew, making some of the most ridiculously heavy beats (see below) - anyway his set will be huge.

FLIGHT FACILITIESBow down to Australia's kings of electro-pop, not in that 2005 Presets kind of way tho; they've reinvented a genre with slick songwriting and perfect vocal combinations - another huge set

JAMIE XX - Oh come on now, this is getting ridiculous; another legend of the game, probably the best producer in the world at this moment; can turn pop into rave in under three minutes

BOYS NOIZE - The king of electro for like ten years now, bangers bangers bangers; expect another very heavy set

SKEPTA - It's shutdown; that's not me and it's shutdown; ring ring pussy, it's shutdown; Fashion week and it's shutdown; Went to the show sitting in the front row in the black tracksuit and it's shutdown; touch the road and it's shutdown, Boy Better Know when it's shutdown.

MR CARMACKMulti-instrumentalist, label-hopping, genre-crossing legend, Carmack has been blurring the lines between dance and hip-hop for years - so smooth, so deadly.

TKAY MAIDZAAmazing stage persona aside, Tkay has incredible flow, incredible backing production, incredible power and can deliver when it matters - prepare for an extremely fun show.

ANNA LUNOESeriously, what a way to finish this list; Lunoe is in control worldwide and can do everything; radio shows, mixes, originals, remixes, vocals, production etc etc etc - get ready to dance.

and here are a few more legends:
