Live Review: The Japanese House 'Cool Blue'

THE JAPANESE HOUSE have hit us with a new tune titled 'COOL BLUE'; a song with the most accurate title to match the sound, ever

London based artist THE JAPANESE HOUSE has been making serious waves in the music scene recently, and they've just made an even bigger one with a new track 'Cool Blue' - a song with the most accurate title to match the sound, ever.

The Japanese House is known for their beautifully calming and mellow music, and also for a resemblance in style and sound to The 1975. On her recent EP titled Pools To Bathe In which was released earlier in the year, you can hear songs that also perfectly match the title - relaxing, smooth and soothing. 'Still' was even lucky enough to be named the 'Hottest Record in the World' by Zane Lowe, so you can tell how legit it actually is.

In terms of this new one though, The Japanese House allow you to escape reality from the moment you press play on 'Cool Blue'. The song has a sound like no other; almost as if you're in a whirlpool of swirling sounds and soft electronica, and the vocals heard over the top couldn't be a better fit. We could sit here and come up with a very long list of every descriptive word associated with the sound of this track, but one word really sums it up - lush. Absolutely lush.
