Live Review: Iiris 'Iridescent Love'

Throughout her music career, London based singer-songwriter IIRIS has always delivered us the goods; and wouldn't you  know it? She's done it again, with a new single called 'Iridescent Love'.

There's a significant change in the sound of this new single, but it isn't any less great compared to her other songs featured on her previous album The Magic Gift Box. This previous album features songs mostly electronic based, such as 'Weirdo' and 'Melyse'; however, this new tune has a change so evident, it leaves us wondering if this could be a new sound Iiris will continue to explore.

'Iridescent Love' features the soft and dreamy vocals of Iiris, and also has some help from Max Doohan (also known as Proverb) who is the master behind the decks of this one. Doohan shows us what he's capable of on this track at about 2 minutes into the song, when the beat takes a turn and transforms from simple and sweet, and adds in the perfect amount of heavier beats that Iiris continues to beautifully sing over - giving it the perfect unique edge.

This new single from Iiris is the first off her new EP called Hope, and we're certain that if she continues to create songs similar to this that feature such distinctive sounding vocals and gorgeous melodies, it will receive the overwhelming success it deserves.  Take a listen below and see for yourself.
