ASTRAL PEOPLE have this morning announced a merger with HANDSOME TOURS, what a way to wake up from a 4th Birthday hangover.

The Sydney promoter and management company will be merging all of their touring operations into the formidable company that is Handsome. The partnership will see the two boutique companies collaborating on electronic, hip-hop and DJ tours to afford exciting new opportunities to exceptional artists the world over.

This kind of partnership between boutique services is nothing new, as today’s announcement follows the news that Caroline was to team up with Good Manners, whilst BBE were snapped up by Future Classic.

Handsome Tours (which itself was merged into Inertia) has been touring internationals for over 15 years, with massive names like Bon IverThe xxThe War On DrugsThe NationalSBTRKT and Future Islands all reaching our shores for the first time thanks to them.

Whilst Astral People have toured artists including BadBadNotGoodNosaj ThingxxyyxxPantha Du Prince and Giraffage over only four years. Whilst they are also the minds behind Sydney boutique electronic music festival, OutsideIn.

You can read statements from both parties below:

“Over 4 short years, Astral People have grown into one of the most forward-thinking and inventive promoters in Australia, bringing some of the world’s best electronic acts to our shores. They possess the same commitment to quality and building career artists that Handsome prides itself upon, so this makes for a very natural partnership.” – Mark Dodds, Handsome Tours

“Handsome Tours and their parent company, Inertia, have been huge inspirations for us since day one. It’s truly an honour to announce that we’ll be working side-by-side on future tours for the artists that we both love.” – Vic Edirisinghe, Astral People
