Live Review: Oscar Key Sung 'Premonition' (Darcy Baylis' Where Were U In '98 Mix)

1 July 2015 | 12:45 pm | Hannah Galvin

Melbourne producer, Darcy Baylis has reinvented Oscar Key Sung's track, 'Premonition'.

OSCAR KEY SUNG released his second EP, Altruism, at the beginning of April this year. A body of work that has since been remixed by a bunch of the artist's pals, his shady number, 'Premonition' fell into the lap of fellow Melbourne producer, DARCY BAYLIS.

A track that once belonged to the dark corners of a suspecting ghetto neighbourhood, Darcy Baylis collected and nurtured the vocals of Oscar Key Sung's 'Premonition', and has taken them to a much more affable district.

Incorporating a gregarious key-line melody to reinvent the overall vibe, 'Premonition' sheds its former character and embraces its glowing, new, fun-loving skin. A contrasting transformation that has both versions of 'Premonition' sitting on complete opposite ends of the spectrum, it practices the obvious fact that Oscar Key Sung's songwriting and vocal execution can be rather versatile.
