Live Review: Szymon 'Medusa'

20 July 2015 | 10:20 am | Hannah Galvin

Pertaining the knowledge of a release date, we eagerly await Szymon's posthumous album, Tigersapp, with the release of its third single, 'Medusa'.

Two singles in and we're aching for SZYMON's record, Tigersapp. A glimpse into the creative mind of the late Szymon Borzestowski, it's an incredibly important portfolio salvaging the music of the artist in order to stand the test of time. Finally gifting us with its release date, Tigersapp's customised label, Eloper has also pushed out the records third single, 'Medusa'.

Scurrying into the space with an overwhelming sense of urgency, 'Medusa' is instantly personified as a being so desperately attempting to flee the scene of its internal disparity, that its emotional wall begins to crumble from an anxious disconnection. Ignorant to its own psyche, it goes forth as if unaffected from its micro world, for the composition travels light and saturated in a luminous energy; though contaminated by the unavoidable stench of despair.

Although sitting a little uneasy in this exploration of demeanour, you can't help but receive 'Medusa' as a compellingly stunning piece of work, skillfully crafted by the musical intellect of Szymon Borzestowski.
