Live Review: Retiree 'Heard You're Doing Well' (Official Video)
Sydney band Retiree are gearing up for their forthcoming EP 'This Place', with their second single 'Heard You're Doing Well' dropping today.
Fresh off the back of their recently released single 'Gundagai', Sydney band RETIREE are back at it again and doing what they do best with their next release, 'Heard You're Doing Well'.
Ahead of their forthcoming EP release This Place, out soon by Plastic World, the Sydneysiders aren't wasting any time in getting their new songs out there. Dropping the song along with the accompanying visuals today, 'Heard You're Doing Well' and it's video are tight, fun and unsuspecting.
Providing a lo-fi insight into a day in the life of a Redfern, Sydney resident, Retiree and their Gumtree-sourced cast simply go about their days as they normally would, but casually sing along to the song. The track itself is almost a retrospective number, in both lyrics and musicality, with 80's/90's nostalgia evident throughout.

This clip for 'Heard You're Doing Well' is the second in a three part video series where the clips are conceptually related yet geographically disparate videos, filmed between Sydney, Melbourne and London - the first being in Melbourne for 'Gundagai'.
'Heard You're Doing Well' is a little more relaxed than it's predecessor, but nevertheless just as catchy and as fun as ever. Retiree's This Place EP is shaping up to be a fantastic release so far if these two tracks are anything to go by. Here's hoping the London instalment is just as great!
