Live Review: Luca 'Best On' Ft. Tei Shi
When he's not being the other half in Yellerkin or playing with Tei Shi, Luca is makes his own music and has released his latest song 'Best On' feat Tei Shi
When he's not making tropical synth beats with the other half of Yellerkin, or performing live with Tei Shi, LUCA is actually hard at work with his solo stuff, the first of which we can finally hear. Teaming up with his good pal Valerie Teicher (Tei Shi), the pair released a collaborative track that is making us very excited to hear just what else Luca is capable of!
Of course, Luca has put out solo work before, but what was released over a year ago sounds very different to what he has released now. Lo-fi, stripped back and seemingly simple, Luca takes the "less is more" approach very seriously with 'Best On', giving lots of room for the elements he does have to breathe and move.
Tei Shi brings a soulful, almost Beyonce like vibe to the track with her sultry and enticing vocals, as the warbling synths and light tapping of a drum machine play lightly together. The striking combination of the two artists makes for not only an impressive track, but also highlights the versatility of Tei Shi and the huge potential Luca has.

'Best On' is out now on Luca's own label Garden Party and is up on iTunes and Spotify. Having accrued over 21 000 plays in just a week, it goes without saying that the world at large is ready for Luca and his eccentric sounds.
