Following the arresting release of her debut single 'Damn, Gravity', melancholic folk musician OKAY KAYA gives us another haunting slow burner with single 'Clenching Teeth'.

Armed with two gripping video clips on youtube and two single releases on Soundcloud, Norwegian raised New York based Okay Kaya has made a heavy impact on the internet over the last month.

With new single 'Clenching Teeth' we have a mesmerisingly honest lullaby confessional, capturing all the vulnerable ins and outs of this artist.

Spacious atmospherics and simple guitar strings act as a bed for the malaise soaked vocals of Okay Kaya. With an airy voice that is both distant and immediate, she has a facility with range that should be admired, going from deep, resonant tones to angelic falsettos with ease. And as a lyricist, pumping out lines like "her hair is the colour of her mind"... this girl has an ability with futuristic folk music that is very, very special.

'Clenched Teeth' will plunge straight into that soft part of your chest and make you weep like a small child.
