PREMIERE: Oh Reach ‘The Girl In The Yellow Dress’ (Official Video)

Oh-reach

We’re so excited to allow you the very first viewing of OH REACH‘s gorgeous video, ‘The Girl In The Yellow Dress’.

A supergroup bursting at the seams with a magnitude of talent, Oh Reach romantically came to be through simply being at the right place at the right time. A songwriting collaboration, the three talents consist of Spookyland‘s Marcus Gordon, Simon Relf of Deep Sea ArcadeThe Tambourine Girls and Ministry Of Truth musician, Terry Serio.

Advised to meet by renowned Sydney producer, Tony Buchan, the three musicians quickly became tightly-knit; exchanging and developing song ideas in Gordon‘s living room. Progressively concreting tunes, Buchan flew straight back into the picture, enthusiastically willing to record Oh Reach‘s debut, full-length album.

A concept record of sorts, the LP primarily focuses on the, “tribulations across a sole man’s life, the triumphs and failures.” One that is sure to hit home for many an attentive listener, their debut singles clip has made this wistful commonality all the more richer.

An angelic filter covets the face of the songs graceful muse. Although journeying through a warm and ample environment, her expression is one of a dubious nature, and marries up with the narrative style of, ‘The Girl In The Yellow Dress’. A story of estrangement, we witness the young woman leave the house of her decrepit relationship and venture off via the backseat of a car. Leaving her life behind, her other half is represented by all three Oh Reach members, as they fail to leave this half-empty house.

Contrasted through the bassy voice of Serio against Gordon‘s distinctive vocal range, ‘The Girl In The Yellow Dress’ has been executed effectively with a light backdrop of beautiful lutes and soft percussion.

‘The Girl In The Yellow Dress’ is the debut single from Sydney’s Oh Reach. You can catch the band’s first ever live performance as part of the VIVID Festival at Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday, 3rd June. The supports of the night will be led by each of the members’ respective projects. Grab your tickets HERE!
