Time for some late-in-the-week dance, courtesy of LUKE MILLION. We're stoked to be premiering the official video for ‘Transylvania Disco’! The track features on Million’s 2014 EP, Light & Sound.
The video uses a simple idea, of the synth maestro Luke Million showcasing his live chops, and takes it into new territory by showcasing the strong direction and editing ability from the team behind the clip. It was created by university student Maryada Rehling who studied at MAPS film school in Adelaide. The pair managed to film the video just before they headed off to work with WWF Nepal, where they worked on creating a video on achieving Zero Poaching.
Working together with cameraman, Jackson Turner, Maryada crafted close and far shots of Million on his assorted future/retro machinery before getting Trent Ninos to throw it all through some lo-fi 80's effects.

Through the use of the multiple 'security screens', the viewer gets to experience how much organic performance Million takes into an original track. The amount of programming is minimal to none, and each sound heard is moulded from the artist composing and performing it live.
Although we're well into 2015, the release of the video comes at an opportune time for Luke Million, as next week he'll be releasing a brand new single, titled ‘Fear The Night’ featuring the voice of fellow Adelaide artist Jesse Davidson. Fresh from Davidson's Like A Version performance in April, the pair say ‘Fear The Night’ is the perfect middle ground between one another’s respective profiles.
