Live Review: PREMIERE: Golden Girls 'Kinetic' (Aotoa Remix)

Brighton master-bass beat-maker AOTOA, has seized our attention with a stella rework of the rave classic 'KINETIC' by Golden Girls. We're here to PREMIERE it.

We've been graced with many-a-remix prior to this point of the dance floor destroyer 'Kinetic'. But none that quite capture a rich dance floor rhythm the way this new Jalapeno Records signee, Aotoa does.

After getting nods from electronic gurus Hype Machine and Earmilk, with tracks like 'Limbo'. Aotoa asserts himself as a bass producing bossman, using a break beat sensibility onto this club track. It's dark and stormy with stirring progression and looming atmospherics, and yet rich and dark with an imploding bassline and breakbeat tempo. This track has allowed Aotoa to draw on the basics of garage and mash them into something emphatic and emotive.

Kinetic draws on all of those raw, unapologetic elements we love about forward thinking dance music and defines Aotoa as a potential frontrunner within deep rave caves around the world.
