Live Review: Gold Celeste 'Can Of Worms'

15 May 2015 | 10:00 am | Hannah Galvin

A slice of psychedelic gold, check out Norwegian three piece, Gold Celeste, with their debut single, 'Can Of Worms'.

Norwegian trio, GOLD CELESTE have been coined as "sunkissed psychpop", and rightly so. Formerly known as Angelica's Elegy, the outfit have just released their debut Gold Celeste single, titled, 'Can Of Worms'.

A myriad of reverberation, rusty percussion and bashful guitars frolic through a sea of dust to revive a sound that danced way before 'Can Of Worms'' time. Flirting with this aesthetic sees an otherwordly vocal adorn the space, carrying the lyrical motif, "they said it would be good for you". Together these fuzzy bodies find comfort within each other, and develop a blissful bond throughout the lifespan of the song.

Whether you focus on the softer chapters of the track, or the large psychedelic blankets, you'll soon learn that, 'Can Of Worms' is a transcendent happy place offering love, luxury and a sense of escapism.
