AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE: Antonio Gram ‘Demons’ Ft. Emma Sehested & ELOQ (Official Video)
“As I’ve mentioned, I’ve quit Reptile Youth to make electronic music” – Esben
What we have now is an accomplished artist getting back to his musical roots, after some self reflection on his career. Reptiles Esben Valløe came to the realisation that 90’s electronic music is in fact where his heart has and continues to lye.
“I want to make electronic music because it’s where I come from” – Esben.
The result; Antonio Gram‘s debut single ‘Demons’. A new pop-electro venture featuring Danish Hip Hop producer ELOQ and vocals from actress turned singer, Emma Sehested.
Dynamic and colourful this track is nothing short of sublime. An introduction of mellow, vacuous atmospherics alongside weighty bass create the perfect bed for Emmas ethereal (Alpine-esk) vocals. ‘Demons’ then drops into completely different terrain as a middle eastern inspired dance-break and hard hitting percussion colour the submerged bass and soaring vocals. This track pops and pings, it swirls and surges, with layering that is deeply nuanced and no doubt to the credit of Copenhagens’ Eloq and his impeccable production skills.
Partnered with this track we introduce his memorising new music video. And soon we have his debut album featuring 10 solo artists to expect. Esben is excited to broaden his opportunities to collaborate with other new electronic artists as part of Antonio Gram. Using various styles of collaboration as a means of exploration for his story telling and the examining of his ups and downs as a musician.
This album sets out to be a promising and diverse amalgamation of style that will reinvent Esben as a musician and how we view him as an artist!
