Live Review: Tyler Touche 'Act of God' Ft. Jason Gaffner
Brisbane producer Tyler Touche teams up with vocalist Jason Gaffner in his first track for this year, a nu-disco banger titled 'Act of God'.
It seems the days of breakout single 'Baguette' are long gone for Brisbane producer TYLER TOUCHÉ who sounds all grown up in his latest single, 'Act of God'. Featuring Jason Gaffner on vocals, Touché is taking nu-disco to a whole new place, and it's sounding very exciting indeed.
Tagged as #romance on his SoundCloud, that description is really quite accurate. From the enamoured lyrics to the sweet, shimmering production, 'Act of God' is all about being enchanted which is fitting considering just how enchanting it is itself.
Immediately reminiscent of Jamiroquai, it's practically impossible not to groove to the infectious synth hooks, the futuristic bassline or the downright infectious vibes. Taking nostalgic disco vibes and giving them a modern twist, 'Act of God' is one of the most feel good tracks I've heard in a while, and one that will undoubtedly be heard on many dancefloors for some time to come.

'Act of God' marks a noticeable progression in Tyler Touché's sound, and one that shows a huge amount of promise. His ability to somehow focus on each aspect of the track whilst blending it all together with great control is a skill that not many can boast as well as he can. This track has made us almost impatient to hear what else he has been working on, and we can only hope there is a lot more where this came from!
