We’re not alone in this belief, as the folks over at Smirnoff Sound Collective are on board as well. They want to make good times better, and bring the music to the people by breaking down barriers between fans and artists, and collaborating with like-minded musicians to get rid of the pretentious attitude in music.
One artist in particular is Brisbane’s SAMPOLOGY, Australia’s finest audio-visual DJ. No stranger to touring, Sampology is definitely a man of the people. With his crazy shows of aural delights delivered with a pop culture punch, Sampology has been slowly, but surely, making a name for himself in the dance music game. He’s been bringing his trippy live gigs all across Australia and abroad – with the busy artist playing shows in Hong Kong, NYC and Mumbai.

“Music is the most essential item obviously for me, and as the photo suggests I play on a few dif-ferent formats depending on the show. I’ve actually recently been revisiting all vinyl DJ sets for a few recent shows, which is the original format I started out DJing with. I’ve never actually played a set with USB sticks, but always pack one just incase…”

“Wax Poetics is a perfect weekend read for me – it’s got some nerdy music stories, it’s short plus it slides into my DJ backpack pretty snug. It’s also nice to look at something other than a screen for a change.”
