Live Review: Kid Indigo 'Too Far'

1 February 2015 | 1:18 am | Julie Fenwick

He’s young, he’s talented and now his most recent track is turning heads. Have a listen to Kid Indigo's new track 'Too Far'.

He’s young, he’s talented and now his most recent track is turning heads. Kid Indigo, Long Beach local from the US, is an emerging producer blessed with talents similar to that of such Australian artists as Cosmo’s Midnight and Sable.

His uncanny ability to send chills up the spine with his music is both impressive and implausible for such a young artist.

An example of this is in his most recent track ‘Too Far’ which is a blissful electronic mix with a sprinkling of R&B. It’s raw bass and whip-like beats compliment an intricate collection of synth patterns that create an airy, wistful paradise for escapism.

As the song builds up into it’s main hook by an explosion of beat, the masterfully cut vocal samples hit, backed by a booming bass and releasing a wave of pure orgasmic goodness throughout the body. In most cases this hook will either cause your limbs to move senselessly or cause you to involuntarily close your eyes in pure appreciation.

Either way this young and promising producer is set to heat 2015 up, he himself stating that ‘This is the year of Indigo’, ’This is the year I start to blow up’. With determination plus talent there’s no doubt he will have a good year.
