Live Review: Fossa Beats ‘3094’

17 February 2015 | 10:00 am | Caitlin Medcalf

As part of the 12in12. charity initiative, FOSSA BEATS has dropped '3094' in support of Melbourne City Mission.

He’s going to be huge in 2015, and this has actually been certified from the likes of DIPLO, BENZI and KIT POP. He makes beats that are smoother than silk, creamier than butter and fatter than anything you’ve ever heard before.

Melbourne beatsmith FOSSA BEATS has had an already incredulous run. With the release of a few already crazy singles, he’s continuing his run with the release of his latest single ‘3094’.

As part of the 12in12. initiative, this track will be a part of a charity series that is run through the release of 12 tracks by 12 artists over 12 months. It’s a cool initiative, and one that we’re keen to see unfold.

You can check out their Facebook page for monthly updates on their tracks. FOSSA BEATS has chosen to support Melbourne City Mission, an organisation that aims to provide services to those who are disadvantaged in the Melbourne community.

‘3094’ has been so well crafted and just like every other FOSSA BEATS track, it’s pure magic.

The beat is strong, well tempered and comes across as more than mild mannered. The main hook is subtle, but it’s the nuances within the synth that actually bring forth the power and the slow energy this track builds throughout its entirety.

FOSSA BEATS is truly an artist to watch this year, and we’re keen to see what else the producer has to bring to the table.
