Cats @ Rocket Bar ft. Flamingo, Hunt + More

15 December 2014 | 1:02 pm | Clare Mingorance

This Friday night Flamingo stop in at Rocket Bar in promotion of their 'Drip Away' EP, with supports from Hunt and Ocsilla.

I'm not quite sure what Adelaide would do without Rocket Bar... Friday nights would be no where near as enjoyable, that's for sure! Constantly bringing you the best live acts in the business, Rocket Bar once again will not disappoint this week, with a killer local line-up set to grace the stage.

Three words for you; FLAMINGO, HUNT, OCSILLA. Get excited!

It seems that the year 2014 has been all systems go for Adelaide electronic three-piece FLAMINGO. From the release of two EPs, shows at some of Australia's biggest and best music festivals, sold-out tours and finally the release of their first official music video, it would be an understatement to say that its been a busy year for the boys.

Made up of Oli Kirk, Kacee Heidt and Benny Tamblyn, FLAMINGO burst onto the Australian music scene last year with their track 'Heart, My'. Aside from receiving rave reviews from Triple J legends such as Lewi McKirdy and Zan Rowe, the trio also gained an extremely large fan base as a result.

Having already supported the likes of Northeast Party House and Rufus, this year the trio also embarked on a sold-out national tour with Brisbane's own The Kite String Tangle, as well as playing sets at Groovin' The Moo and Splendour in the Grass.

This week, the boys will be stopping in at Cats in celebration of their most recent EP 'Drip Away', which was released via etcetc earlier this month. Joining them will be Adelaide babe Madeleine Hunt, whose vocals feature on their latest track. If dreamy synths and lush beats are your thing, this will be right up your alley.

There's nothing we love more than supporting our locals, and this Friday night at Cats will allow you to do just that. Make sure you get in early, as this is a night not to be missed.
