Live Review: Ribongia Guest Mix for Purple Sneakers on FBi Click

It's a bird, it's a plane - no! It's a recently-emerged, Sydney-based producer of kickass proportions. On this week's episode of the PURPLE SNEAKERS SHOW ON FBI CLICK we have none other than the game-changing RIBONGIA tearing up the studio with a torrential helping of eclectically-charged tunes.

Just a few months back an enigmatic presence started to appear on the radars of a select few within the Australian producer scene. That presence was dubbed RIBONGIA, and as time trundled by, many more started to realise the awesome amount of innovative talent that this guy had hidden up his sleeves.

Fast-forward to the present day and RIBONGIA has already been snatched up and signed to a label - by the also brand new, but also insanely awesome OCTOBER RECORDS, which has dropped such gems including the recent FRAMES & ELIZABETH ROSE collaborative effort, btw.

RIBONGIA is the type of music maker who wears his influences on his sleeves. Sounds of Afro-beat, ragga, dancehall, UK jungle, footwork, juke, bass and many more all surround and envelop one another in RIBONGIA's unmistakably killer sound, whilst forever remaining originally and creatively charged. Biter's beware, this sound is all his.

This robust aesthetic shines through effortlessly with this week's guest mix by RIBONGIA. Whilst laced with copious amounts of exclusive and original material, the producer has also included some obscure and classic cuts into the restrictive half hour timeframe.
