Live Review: Giraffage 'Chocolate'

17 November 2014 | 12:00 am | Lauren Payne

Giraffage has released the second track from his No Reason EP and it's dedicated to his canine best friend, Chocolate.

San Francisco based producer GIRAFFAGE has given us a brand new track that will be pumping through your speakers for days to come.

The offering embodies all that we have come to love about GIRAFFAGE, his R'n'B melodies and smooth beats work together to express the love that the producer has for one very adorable thing in particular. His pet dog Chocolate.

'Chocolate', as well as paying tribute to an energetic chihuahua, is the second track on GIRAFFAGE's new EP No Reason. The EP features only one other track called 'Tell Me' and both pieces not only have his signature sound, but also some new additions that make each track seem more evolved than the producers previous work.

'Chocolate' has a very light shimmer to it and also sounds quite childlike. GIRAFFAGE explained to Vogue that the cartoon-ish synths and light beat are references to his young puppy, "This song is how I imagine he sees the world". The vibrant synths seem to dance off the twinkling samples that flutter past after every eight counts.

The track is simple and definitely has it's own character and we're sure Chocolate would be very proud of his talented owner. No Reason will be released through Fool's Gold on November 18 and will no doubt be a delightful EP for summer.
