London based label Needwant has been a burgeoning scene for left of centre house, disco and techno since its humble beginnings five years ago.

Acting as a launching pad for the careers of Mario Basanov, Kim Ann Foxman, Ejeca and Maxxi Soundsystem, the label have decided to celebrate their success with the release of 'Needwant: 5 Years' - a compilation that sees old and upcoming faces reimagine classic tracks from the label’s history. The record is bursting at the seams with quality releases, but amongst the tracks there is a definite standout in Kiwi's remix of Bonar Bradberry’s (one part of lauded duo PBR Streetgang) '3two5' .

KIWI is a UK based DJ and Producer, who recently had the privilege of signing to hit maker Duke Dumont's Blasé Boys Club label. Real name Alex Warren, he's known for his funky house releases on various UK dance labels and his ardent remixing.

Kiwi takes the blissed-out sounds of the original smooth house hit and revitalises for a new age -  with crisp industrial beats, jolting aural soundscapes and a good dose of reverb that creates a more funk fuelled, darker, dance-ready track.

Needwant: Five Years is out through Ingrooves / Above Board now.
